Promotional Video for Chris's Beatles CD

(CD liner notes)

Chris Eagan was born December 7, 1957 into a musical household. His father was a professional pianist who played for Sammy Davis, Jr. and many other well known stars of that era. As a child, young enough to be still sleeping in his crib, Chris would rock himself back and forth to the music of Ray Charles as his parents had it playing in the house.

By the time Chris was six years old the Beatles made their debut to the world and Chris was absolutely mesmerized by the music that they played as well as the group itself. John, Paul, George and Ringo made and left a big impression upon Chris for the rest of his life.

At the age of 14 Chris started to learn how to play the guitar, and by the time he was 16, he was already playing professionally.

This album is dedicated to the four guys who changed the music business in the 60s and into the 70s and, in the process, became the most popular musical group in history. Now, years later, their songs are still being played on the radio and sold all over the world.

Because Chris has never stopped loving the music played and created by The Beatles, he has created a solo guitar album of many of their songs, which are his own interpretation played with his unique guitar style.

So sit back and enjoy.

"Home, Street, Home"

"Back in 1989 I was having hard times going through a very rough depression!

"I searched out some churches and attended a few for emotional support.

"I found out, when I spoke from the heart and told the people at the church what I was suffering through emotionally, several expressed sympathy but everyone seemed to feel that there was little they could do about my plight. And so these people turned away.

"Also, in my search for help, I went back to the church that I had attended when I was a child, which was right next to the Las Vegas Strip and still is.

"I was buying some crosses for my house and, when I was leaving the church, I saw several church workers ushering out a man with a suitcase!

"After buying my crosses I walked out of the church and the man that was ushered out of the church was sitting on a parking rail crying.

"I, in my own torment, decided to sit down and talk to him.

"He said 'You don't know what it is to be a homeless black man'!

"He then showed me his bus ticket that he had in his pocket. He had just come from Washington State to Las Vegas.

"The man then said, 'They kicked me out because I was black and homeless'!

"I then decided to leave the man for a while as I went to the bank and I withdrew $200 from my own account and returned to the man at the church.

"The man was surprised that I came back as I had told him I would!

"Then I proceeded to take the man to the Stardust Hotel to get him a room for three days and gave him money for food!

"Out of my own suffering and frustration to find my way back to feeling good again, while sitting at home playing on my guitar, I found myself starting to write the lyrics and melody, coming out of me faster then I could write them down so I would not forget them!

"I formulated the lyrics as the melody just played itself out as I strummed my guitar!

"By mid 1991 through the beginning of 1992 I was working on my Album with Tony Commisso and Tony knew me very well and he saw that I was emotionally suffering.

"So, he said he knew a woman that was also going through some rough personal problems and thought that the two of us could help each other out if he introduced me to this woman. Her name is "Diane Renay".

"We were married July 4th 1992!

"So, 17 years later here we are writing this description for the beginning of how I wrote 'HOME, STREET, HOME'!"

"Watchin' The Moments"

"The year was 1989 and I came up with a classical style instrumental melody with chords using my classical guitar.

"However, after completing the song, I then decided to try and play it on my electric guitar to see how it sounded.

"I then started formulating lyrics that fit with the music that I was playing on my electric guitar.

"I wrote down most of the song and when I had time to get back to it, which was when I was recording with Tony Commisso, I was able to finish the lyrics and complete the arrangement of the song.

"This song was written at approximately the same time that my other song, 'HOME, STREET, HOME,' was written during a period of time when I was having personal problems.

"The way that I was feeling at that time made me often ponder about what life is all about and why are we here as we watch time pass us by."

"Where Were You When I Needed You?"

"The year was 1988 and I was in a long term relationship that ended.

"I felt devastated and totally isolated from the rest of the world!

"This was during a time in my life when I was going through a terrible depression that monopolized and took over my whole being for quite a long time.

"After my girlfriend left me, one day while at home sitting and sulking on my sofa I picked up my guitar and started to write this song.....'WHERE WERE YOU WHEN I NEEDED YOU'!

"It was bad enough that I was in such a deep depression and when my girlfriend left me, she left me when I needed her most!

"Many of us have been there!!!"

"Drill, Baby, Drill"

"It's sad that corporate greed has wounded the earth and now it is bleeding.

"And, we do not have the doctors to save Mother Earth! I guess you can call it the "Spoils of Oil"!

"What will fill the void of all the billions of gallons of oil that is being robbed from the core of our planet daily?

"Will our planet become an empty shell, like an egg without a yolk?

"Will we soon implode as the story unfolds?"
